As a GIIRS Pioneer Fund, Mergence is committed to reporting
social and environmental performance alongside financial returns.
Mergence will utilise the new Impact Reporting
& Investments Standards [IRIS] 2.0 taxonomy for impact
measurement, and the Global Investing Reporting Standards
Impact Reporting & Investment
IRIS provides an independent, standardised set of metrics for
organisations to track their impact. The benefits of adopting
standardised social and environmental performance measurement
include credibility, comparability, and consistency.
Representatives on the various IRIS committees include the
International Finance Corporation [IFC], the World Resources
Institute [WRI], Deloitte, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, the Gate's
Foundation, the Calvert Foundation and the Acumen Fund.
Global Impact Investing Ratings
GIIRS assesses the social and environmental impact of companies
and funds using a ratings approach analogous to the S&P credit
risk ratings. Driven by IRIS, GIIRS provides transparent and
independently governed company and fund impact ratings.
Representatives on the various committees and working groups of
GIIRS include Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Prudential, Bank of
America, Moody's Corporation, Risk Metrics, Bernstein Global
Advisors, Harvard University and the Rockefeller Foundation.
