Promotion of Access to Information Act

The Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (‘PAIA’) gives persons the right to access information that is required to exercise or protect their rights. PAIA also requires private bodies such as Mergence to compile a manual, designed to assist persons who want to exercise their right to access information.
